OK DOOMER
OK Doomer is the third entry in the discography of Doomsday Preppers, and documents the band's further explorations in pseudo-apocalyptic lyricism and playfulness. The seven compositions on the album offer rich opportunities for both individual and group improvisation, and were composed with the empathic interplay of the quartet in mind. Particularly defining for this release is the band's growing dynamic range, unified by a consistent relaxed intensity. Interspersed are references spanning the rich and varied history of jazz, as well as a surprising mix of influences from the last few (hopefully not final) centuries of music. OK Doomer is retro-futuristic music for the end times and beyond.
